“We” Weddings & Events was created and founded by me, Heather Vickery Skelton. I was introduced to the wedding industry while interning in Cleveland with Kirkbride Wedding Planning and Design in the Summer between my junior to senior year of college.
I quickly became a lover of all things weddings!
Lucky for me, I also had three sisters who let me help plan and design each one of their special days.
I say, “who wouldn’t love having a different Bride as their best friend every weekend?!”

Hi, I'm MaryTherese
MaryTherese has been a part of “WE” Weddings & Events from the very beginning.
She found her way to WE by sliding into the DMs—determined to stop being the forever bridesmaid who ended up picking up all the pieces on wedding day.
She quickly became a lover of all things logistics and design… and, even faster, a full-blown linen snob.
Lucky for MaryTherese, she has five siblings who will each be celebrating their own big days— some sooner then later.

In 2021, I had the opportunity to plan my own wedding. I also decided to make a career change, which allowed me to take a chance and reconnect with the Wedding industry. That is when I started “WE” Weddings and Events - to build my own portfolio of Special Events and Weddings in Erie and surrounding areas.
“WE” Weddings & Events officially began in the 2022 Wedding season. I want to build solid relationships with great Vendors as well as create an awesome team. I told my wedding photographer that I wanted to be featured in a wedding magazine, and although that didn't happen for my own personal wedding, I can proudly say one of our 2023 WEddings are in Pennsylvania Weddings Magazine!

Heather and Mary Therese were our coordinators for my recent wedding at Bear Ridge Destination (Aug 2025). At first, my wife and I were not sure if we wanted to hire a wedding coordinator or not, because we are both well organized and fairly responsible.

Heather and her team are the absolute BEST! If you are a bride, hire them!!! You will not regret it and will be so thankful you did! Heather is one of the most detail oriented people I know and our wedding day was perfect, yes you read that correct, it was PERFECT! Not only is Heather amazing at her job, she is such an amazing soul who cares so much about her brides. She had the day fully planned and we were on time for everything! Talk about stress free, I got live in the moment without a care in the world because I was in the best hands. Our wedding day was like a Disney movie and something I could have never been able to do without Heather. She is worth every penny and more!
